It was by pure chance, that in a sunny day in October 2018 I discovered this amazing place called Vale do Lobo Luxury Resort in Algarve Portugal. And since then, I had an obsession with owning an apartment here. Because, why not live like the other half?
Today I was asked when I realized I was in the wrong life. As much as it took me a really long time to come to terms with it, I think I have known since I can remember — that I always thought I was born in the wrong place. People always tried to convince me that happiness is found with yourself and not on the outside world, but I knew that in my case was more to the story that this old cliché.
So I didn’t listen and I decided to change my life, by moving to another place that was more align with my core values and the way I saw life. But first I had to find that place. It was by mere chance that in a sunny day of October (but again, Algarve has 360 sunny days) I found this amazing place called Vale do Lobo Luxury Resort. We were driving and we took a wrong turn trough some bushes and we suddenly found ourselves in this lush paradise.
My transition has been a very gradual, very cerebral process. Not because I am a cerebral person but because my long life partner didn’t want to consider moving to another country (if you want to know more about this, click the video at the end of this article with my story). So I had to took it slow.
I always knew a that if you don’t take any risk in life, there will be no reward, but risking another person’s career and happiness is a totally different matter.
Here we are, almost 3 years later, we bought a condo and we try to split the time between here and there. We found our little piece of heaven and now we want to help you do the same!
